A magnitude 6.9 earthquake has occurred 46 miles southeast of Mawlaik, Myanmar at a depth of approximately 84 miles. Media sources report that tremors were felt in the eastern Indian states of Assam and West Bengal as well as in Nepal and Bangladesh.
