We had a wonderful time on the mangrove monkey tour. We got off of our tour bus and upon arrival immediately saw a sloth that was in a tree right by the parking lot. My 13 year old son was thrilled! We then were brought down to the boat for the tour. Our tour guide, Diego, was very knowledgeable about the mangroves, and the flora and fauna. We saw many crabs and "Jesus walking" lizards. Our boat went up and down the mangroves three times but we never had the monkey results like the rest of the reviewers. I wish that we had. We did see one white-faced monkey, who had been expelled from his monkey tribe. The poor little monkey was all beat up and had a huge gash on his back. In any case, he did come over to the boat and posed with the passengers on the boat and I did get a couple of good pictures. I was glad that we did get to see this one monkey as I would be disappointed if we had seen none. One thing that everyone needs to remember is that this is not the zoo, this is REAL wildlife. Sometimes the monkeys are there, and sometimes they are not. Overall, we really enjoyed the mangrove monkey tour.
