A two-year-old boy is missing after he was dragged into a lagoon by an alligator at a Disney World resort in Orlando. The boy’s desperate father frantically attempted to wrestle his son from the jaws of the reptile – but to no avail. The small child was dragged into the Seven Seas Lagoon near the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa at around 9.20pm on Tuesday.
Sheriffs say there is little hope of finding a two-year-old boy alive after he was dragged into a lagoon by an alligator at a Disney World resort in Orlando. His father tried in vain to wrestle his son from the seven-foot reptile. Alligators are common place at the Walt Disney World resort but are said to be removed when they reach four foot or get too near to guest areas.
Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said in a news conference early this morning that the parents of the missing boy had been at the Disney resort with their three children and had been on the beach at the time of the attack.
The missing boy played in about one foot of water with his mother as the alligator – believed to be anywhere between four and seven feet long – attacked the child. ‘As they waded into the water along the lake’s edge at the time, that’s when the alligator attacked,’ Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings told a press conference.
